Humans of QVMS: Abby Smith – Senior Lacrosse player at QV

Mareena Musser, Staff Writer

I started playing the sport about 9 years ago with my babysitter. She was the captain of the high school team at the time and, to keep me occupied she gave me a stick and made me pass with her. We played everyday and, I fell in love with the sport. I play attack but, if I could switch positions I would love to play defense. My favorite memory on the team was last year scoring the game winning goal in double overtime against Seaton LaSalle to win the section championship. This summer I will be doing conditioning for my college team and coaching on local club teams. Overall this summer I will just be playing a lot of lacrosse. I do not play any other sports but I play the cello, I am part of NHS and Global Scholars and volunteer at Fern Hollow.
